Established in 1988 in Leicester, UK, Wellgosh originally specialised in sourcing deadstock and vintage clothing. Initially trading from a market stall and a unit in Silver Arcade, Leicester, the store grew organically as an independent and embraced the thriving skate and streetwear scene, developing a strong and individual brand mix that would shape the look and feel of the current store.
A transactional website was developed in 1996 as Wellgosh became an early adopter of online trading, and in 2000 moved into a store which now forms part of the current site on High St, Leicester.
Wellgosh currently trades from stores in Leicester and Nottingham, and with a new Birmingham store opening in summer 2022 will become the major Midlands retailer of premium street and skate lifestyle clothing and footwear from the likes of Nike, Adidas, Carhartt, Stussy, New Balance, Arc'teryx, Cav Empt, The North Face, Birkenstock, Billionaire Boys Club, On Running and many more.
As a nationally and internationally recognised sneaker destination store, our focus is firmly on the top tier offerings from our brands as we maintain an edgy look and feel to both our online and instore presence. We aim to represent our products in a carefully considered manner, paying particular attention to great presentation, authenticity in everything we do and best-in-class customer service.
